Return from tour

Psycroptic have just returned from an event filled, but successful European tour with Deicide and Visceral Bleeding. As most people know, Glen Benton was not able to make the tour due to personal reasons, but the tour went on none the less with the help of Seth from Severe Torture for the first 4 shows, then Daray from Dissenter filling in on vocals for the remaining dates. Jason (Psycroptic) also stepped up and helped out with a song each night which was a very proud moment for all of us.

Unfortunately after the Essen show Joe had to be taken to hospital after he collapsed. This resulted in Psycroptic having to cancel the 4 remaining shows of the tour in Holland, Germany and Belgium. Joe was very keen to play these shows, but he had to rest upon doctors (and the rest of Psycroptic’s) orders.

A special thanks goes out to Mic Summerton, who handled bass for us in Cam’s absence. Mic can usually be seen at the mixing desk, as he is Psycroptic’s live sound engineer.

Now back at home, Psycroptic have begun work on new material, as well as working on a US tour for sometime in 2007.

As for Australian shows, Psycroptic have 4 shows currently lined up, which will be the last shows for quite some time as work on new material is the main priority. Check out the gig section for details on these shows.
